Thanksgiving 2009
This Thanksgiving, we went over to my grandparent's house. They live in Madison which is about an hour away. I started out my day great by sleeping in until 9:00. Then, to lighten things up even more, we had sticky buns for breakfast. Stickybuns are almost like an enlarged version of Monkey Bread and it is amazing. Anyway, we rode over to my grandparents house and from there, my dad, my grandpa, and me, sat down and watched the Packer's beat the Lions. My Aunt and Uncle came at about halftime of the game and my uncle sat down and watched it with us. From there, we started to watch the Cowboys versus the Raiders, or atleast I did, and then at about the end of the first quarter, the Thanksgiving Dinner was ready. We had jello, green beans, salad, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, stuffing and last but not least, the turkey. I had one of the two legs and my brother had the other. I usually like the light meat but on the turkey, it's the juiciest part and I don't like any other part because it's too dry. I also had green beans and a ton of jello. I love my mom's black cherry jello. It is so good. From there, we went over to my cousins house to feed their cats. Their names were Tipper and Scarlet. They were pretty small and shy of me at least. We then went back to my grandparents house which I slept over night at. When we got back, my uncle and aunt and I started to watch the Texas versus Texas A&M game. Eventually, Texas won. We watched a really funny movie. I then stayed up and watched a movie until aboutm 11:00 that was about a fighting and how a guy beat another guy who almost killed his friend. It was a really good movie. After that, I went to bed at around 11:30.

GO, PACK, GO! Interesting Thanksgiving Chandler. The dark meat is the best though, it's the juiciest.
ReplyDeleteIn the turkey it is but in chicken and all of the other meats, no way.
